A three track demo from 2005 when we went by the dubious name of Big Bend.
Best Wishes have roots in Washington DC, Southern California, England and Ireland, but currently straddle the West with four feet in San Francisco, California and two in Austin, Texas.
Raised into San Diego’s indie/ punk scene, singer Sioban toured the US and released a couple of albums with noise mistresses Chinchilla. Nick, the drummer, played in DC/ New York-area indie bands Edsel and Touch & Go band New Wet Kojak, in addition to touring with bands like Fugazi, GVSB, Modest Mouse, and Lucinda Williams as their sound guy. Guitarist Martin migrated from Sheffield, England but sites New Yorkers Talking Heads, Television, Lou Reed and Sonic Youth as being major influences. Because Best Wishes makes music collaboratively, their music reflects the musicians’ unique and varied backgrounds. Groovy and melodic, Best Wishes music is both rocking and introspective, sometimes all at once.
